BY E. J. WAGGONER1He was an editor, minister and physician. He attended Battle Creek College in its early years. He obtained his medical degree from Bellevue College, New York City. After serving on the staff of Battle Creek Sanitarium for a few years he decided to enter the ministry and evangelism. In 1884 he came assistant editor of the Signs of the Times. In 1886 he and A.T.Jones both became editors of the paper. In 1892 he moved his family to England and became editor of Present Truth. After a short term as the first president of the South England Conference he returned to the United States in 1902. Later, because of divorce and remarriage he became separated from the ministry and denominational work.,
